Long long ago, in an agency far far away
- well, in Great Portland Street, actually -
a young copywriter was briefed to come up with (overnight!) some ads saying that Nike was now official boot supplier to the England team.

Solution

One liners. Rugger bugger humour.
Nike attitude.

Result

The venerable RFU banned the ads from the Evening Standard and other publications - which of course made the news. So we got £000s worth of free coverage. Another Nike victory!
